Dahi Phulkian Easy recipe for Ramazan/ Iftar
I have grown up enjoying this recipe, taught to me by my Khala Nadira, who is a superb artist and an expert chef & above all more like a friend.
Dahi phulkian
Ingredients:
For the Phulki Batter:
Besan/gram Flour 1 cup
Garlic 2 cloves crushed
Salt-according to your taste
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Yogurt Mixture:
Yogurt
Salt
Chat masala
Optional
Dhania/coriander powder
Zeera/cumin powder
Toppings:
Garam masala
Tomatoes
Onions
Coriander leaves
Note:
Serve with tamarind chutney and chat masala.
Fish Chaat - Ramadan Recipe
Preparation:
Marinate with the marinade ingredients. Leave it for over night or a few hours.
Fry Fish in the frying pan till it is done. Soon after you take fish off the pan, sprinkle chat masala over it while it is still hot. Roughly make pieces of the fried fish. They do not have to be of the same size. Spread on a shallow serving dish and sprinkle all the garnishing ingredients, leaving cucumber slices for the sides.
Serving Tips:
Fish can be fried a few hours ahead of time. Heat it up in the slow oven at the time of serving. Cover the fillets with the garnishing ingredients.
